Lamp "ball" of André Ricard for Metalarte of the years 60/70, it is composed of two half-globes in white plastic. Porcelain socket E27.
Fully restored (electricity and paint), the lamp is in perfect condition, like new.

"André Ricard Sala" was born on June 18, 1929 in Barcelona, Spain. He is an industrial designer, he collaborated with Metalarte for the design of several models of lamps. He designed the torch for the 1992 Summer Olympics. André Ricard has received numerous awards and distinctions, to name but a few: the Spanish National Design Award in 1987, he was made a Knight of Arts and Letters in 1998 and a Knight of the Legion of Honour in 2011.
Metalarte was founded near Barcelona in Catalonia, Spain. Founded in 1932, Metalarte is a pioneer in the lighting market that has maintained a commitment to innovation and new creative values for over fifty years. In the sixties and seventies, it began to renovate its catalogue and to collaborate with external designers. In the eighties and nineties, it integrated the new generation of professionals, at the same time as it began its international commercial expansion. Today the company is part of the Luxiona group (with the Troll and Sagelux brands) and continues to renew its collaborations so that the cast of designers linked to Metalarte is broad and highly representative of the best of creativity and in keeping with the times.
