Pair of large Italian wall sconces, 1950s/60s in the Space Age / Atomic Age style
Rare and masterful pair of Italian wall sconces from the Space Age / Atomic Age period (1950s/60s). These sconces feature a spectacular patinated brass structure with radial stems, combined with opaline glass diffusers.
Their design evokes a stylized flower or a star, with numerous slender stems radiating around a central axis, giving the piece a particularly elegant sculptural presence.
Each sconce has five light points. Once lit, the lights diffuse a soft and warm atmosphere, while the metal stems cast beautiful patterns of shadows on the wall.
A particularly decorative pair that fits just as well in a classic interior with moldings as in a more contemporary, vintage, or eclectic decor.
A strong piece for lovers of vintage Italian lighting and 1950s/60s design.
