Jørgen Gammelgaard's "Tip Top" pendant light from the 60s and 70s. White metal structure. It can be used as a hanging lamp or as a portable lamp thanks to its cable with an electric plug that allows you to plug it in like a lamp.
Jørgen Gammelgaard came up with the idea for the "Tip Top" lamp with several lampshades while working for the UN in Samoa in the 1960s. His only source of light was a simple light bar and to improve it he added plastic rings to make the lighting softer. On his return to Denmark, Jørgen Gammelgaard created the "Tip Top" multi-shade suspension lamp, which is characterised by the space given between each metal ring which diffuses an elegant and pleasant play of light.
The Tip Top pendant light is a perfect example of minimalist Scandinavian design, but at the same time it is the result of careful thought and attention to detail. Its design has been passed down through the generations while retaining all its modernism.
Presence of small traces of time linked to age and use (see photos).
